logan is 4 today.

while i am excited to see what year 4 brings to our family, i am overwhelmed with emotions. my baby is 4 years old already??? where did the time go?

this little boy has been a joy ever since he entered our family dynamics. he is funny, charming, a smoocher, huggable, highly imaginative, sensitive, joyously learning about God, a little stubborn :), and just plain wonderful.

can't imagine our lives without him.

where the magic begins...

hello family and friends.
we are back from a fabulous adventure to Walt Disney World. we met uncle adam, aunt courtney and cousin tessa out there. we all dressed up and went to the "not so scary" halloween parade. we laughed. we danced. we met some fun disney characters. we watched fireworks. we enjoyed shows. we ate. we ate some more. we played. we stayed up late. we swam. we sang songs. we had the best time.

wonderful memories were made here.

love our family. love our adventures. thankful to Jesus for making it all possible...

30 - something

this is me.

yes, i haven't had time to do my hair just right.

yes, i have a few more wrinkles on my forehead and starting around my eyes.

yes, i need to highlight my hair to hopefully make people believe that i am, indeed, still 29! (aka... cover up the grays)

yes, i need to exercise on a daily basis to fight off the flab that just. won't. go. away!!!

yes, the darkness/ bags under my eyes shine a little brighter each day due to the craziness of having 2 boys..

BUT:

i am happy

i am blessed

i am loved

i am lucky

i am HOPEful

i am a believer

i am thankful

it's my birthday and i'm so glad God has given me another year of life to hopefully live to the fullest.

here's to more and more reasons to smile! :)

cousinly love

yes, there is a whole lot of cousinly love going on over here. we are so lucky to have so many wonderful cousins in the boys' lives.

poor braden is the only boy cousin but he is uber cool and tall and awesome, so we are really happy to be around him! (whenever possible)

actually we are thankful to be around each of the cousins because they are all fun and happy and sweet and loving. again... lucky are we, indeed!

sophie is the only cousin who lives near the boys, however, so whenever there is a chance for them to play together - it's a fun time had by all! :)

logan and tessa are indeed bff's and it's so fun to watch the 3 little braatz's play together! :)

pre-school? since when does my baby go to pre-school?!

i am in serious denial as my sweet baby boy is so so excited to go to school for the first time. he just wants to be like his brother.

even though Logan will only be going 2 half days a week, i can just feel my heart pound a little faster.

what does this mean? my precious is getting bigger and bolder and more independent while i'm getting (HOPEfully) wiser and er... older!

Dear Jesus, please protect my boy(s) in their new classes. Help their teachers to know how to help them do their best. Let them make friends that are friends to you. Show them kindness. I pray for You to shine through them to others as an example.
I love you. Thank you for my very precious time that i do get with my boy(s).

K is for Kindergarten

zach is a kindergartener.

we are so proud of him.

he gets to ride the big bus now.

he is gonna be such a blessing to all he meets. i'm sure he'll touch the lives of many.

we are praying for wisdom, kindness, great conversations, new and wonderful friends!

we are praying and HOPING for God's extra protection.

1..2..3..4..5..SIX!!!!

1) he is extremely smart. he knows all his numbers, letters, shapes, colors. oh, and did i mention the boy can read like a champ?



2) he is the most beautiful boy i've ever seen. sure, i'm biased, but seriously... have you seen him? beautiful.



3) he has mad talent. he loves to draw. he can color and draw and tell stories through his art. maybe the next van gogh?



4) he is kind. he loves to say thank you and please. he cheers on his brother. he tells his momma he loves her (that's me!), he loves to hug and jump around and smile and cheer.


5) he loves Jesus. he loves going to church. he loves to pray at breakfast, lunch and dinner (always the first to volunteer). he knows his bible stories. he sings bible songs. he's infections with a growing godly heart. the boy has HOPE. (and we have HOPE in him!!!)


6) he is now SIX YEARS OLD. good gravy! six. i love this six year old. he is a treasure. a joy. a love. my sweet.

seriously? if you haven't heard of the place, you need to check it out. it's in maryland. it's beautiful and awesome and a great place to take your family.

we hiked, played, swam, boated, laughed, mountain coaster'd, beached it, hiked some more, ate tons, etc.... great great fun with my family.

all the cousins, on my side of the family, had the chance to be together and it was just wonderful.
