me...tired

hello friends....
well, no this is not the most flattering picture of me but this is what i look like today.

i am tired.

i have been going non stop and i am just tired. don't get me wrong. i love my life. God is so good to me in every way.

my husband is a hottie, godly and loves me to pieces

my children are lovable and sweet and kind and crack me up

my friends listen to me, love me and are really just the best

my parents are more supportive than ever and so much fun to be with

my church is wonderful with new and beautiful opportunities that await me

even my exercise routine continues to keep me "movin" (that is saying it lightly)

so i have no complaints but i am in serious need of a b r e a k!

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11 28

NOW on to making dinner...

Forever Friends!

What a fantastic week I had! I had a fun visit with my college friend. There are no bonds like that of a college friend. She is dear to me in so many ways. We were roomies with two precious other girls that are also dear to my heart. JKS-O and I met our freshman year and it was lifelong friendship after that! :)

We had the chance to catch up, laugh, eat, chase our children around, eat more and just enjoy our moments together.

It is such a shame she lives on the totally opposite side of the states then me but with her sweet baby boy due in September, I'll be hopping on the plane to see her new addition! :)

Here are some fun pics from the week~ ENJOY!!!

Good Ol' Tennessee

What a wonderful spring break! My parents and the 4 of us went to Galtinburg & Pigeon Forge Tennessee to sight see and just have some fun! After 10 hours in the car, we rode up a winding mountain to an even steeper driveway to the cabin we rented for the week. It was just beautiful and we had such a good time!
We hiked, ate, went to a rainforest zoo, did Dollywood, ate some more and just did all the tourist stuff that makes a trip fun!
We'd go back in a heartbeat and hope to do that one day soon! :)

Here are some of my favorite pics from the week!

This is a birds eye view of the house we rented. It was lovely and we really enjoyed it!

Here is our little family on a tree log during one of our hikes.

Here is the entire gang at the edge of the hike where there was a beautiful waterfall.

Mr. Yum Yum with grandma and papa heading back into the woods! love this pic!

we went to ripley's believe it or not museum and took a family pic on this gigantic chair! fun times!

Z is adorable in this pic. He loved just looking at the animals and petting them all! Sometimes i think he belongs in a zoo! :)

while feeding a goat, logan gets licked by an escapee...it was too cute!

hooray for dollywood! here we are looking at a waterhole. zach loved every minute at this park!

this is one of my favorite pictures of the entire trip. mr. sweetums tried a ride ALL BY HIMSELF! i am so proud! ...and look at that smug look on his face! priceless!

my dad and logan having a great day together. logan loves him some papa....they are two peas in a pod!

after a long week...mr z just couldn't handle anymore excitement. he fell asleep as we waited for our lunch!

last one, i promise! zach saying "thanks mommy for the great trip"... any moment that is sealed with a kiss is the best moment of all! ...of course, with logan looking on...i thought this pic was priceless, too! this was taken the day before we left.

SO...what did you think? great pictures, huh? We had a blast!
God Bless You !!

Easter

There is such joy in the Easter holiday! This happens to be my very favorite holiday because it is the entire reason I am a Christian. Without Jesus' resurrection, there would be no reason to be a Christian and no Hope as we know it. It is such a powerful reminder of Christ and what God did for us all. It's exciting to think about, really.

We will be gone over the actual holiday so we had some of our family and friends over to celebrate with a big easter egg hunt. We had a great time and fun was had by all!

my sweet angel boys looking in their easter basket. love it!

my sweet friends jacque and joy. love these girls!

all the kids at the hunt! they had so much fun!

my little singer...

...and the song singing continues.

Z really loves singing. His eyes really light up and it's especially awesome to see God at work in such a young heart. He was singing this while putting together his USA puzzle.

God is a great God. if you just put your HOPE and trust in Him, He will bless the socks off of you. Little Z learned this song once at grammie and g-dad's house and it just stuck. listening to or immersing yourself with God's goodness in all sorts of ways will, no doubt, shine on the inside and out! it's true...there is joy joy joy joy down in my little man's heart!

we love you Z! you bring such joy and HOPE to us!

10.1.20

wow...so this weekend was really great. the weather was great. being with family was great. mini church was great...and training was great!
on saturday, dad and i biked 10 miles and then proceeded to run 1 mile.
on sunday, we decided to go the distance and bike 20 miles.
all i can say is, that evening, i was exhausted! everything about me was tired...so i know it was a good weekend of working out!
this is me...after everything! :)

it was well worth it but training is definitely challenging! i know the end is in sight and i know good is coming from all of this BUT along the way...it does get tough some days! i'm hanging in there...and so is my friend noelle. with God's help, we will finish the race! :)

Mr. Showoff & his sidekick

Z doesn't get to watch a lot of tv so today was a very special day. He chose Dora and when this song came up, I was quick to get my camera because I knew he'd sing right along with her. Boy, am I glad I captured this moment...and little L...he moved right along with the music. Love those boys of mine!
